Your Content, Everywhere: The Omnichannel Outlook with Acquia Labs
Is content as we know it dead? With the web now only one facet in a startling range of content experiences, we need to ask ourselves what content entails in a world where such diverse digital experiences are increasingly commonplace. Content must now be delivered to a bevy of places: zero user interfaces that can't be manipulated physically, like voice assistants; minimal experiences limited and disembodied by their size, like Apple Watches; and even places where content can be merely auxiliary, like augmented reality.
We contend that even with this omnichannel existence, a single source of truth for content — and its delivery — is not only optimal but also crucial. But how do we deliver experiences which are seamless across all channels and all personas? And how do we keep those experiences from becoming too much to handle from an editorial standpoint, for the marketer with only so many hours in the day?
Over the course of the last year, Acquia Labs has embarked on a series of experimental projects to evaluate precisely how our omnichannel future stands to benefit from Drupal's resounding API-first and channel-agnostic refocus.
This session tracks Acquia Labs' progress in conversational content, augmented reality, and other emerging technologies. Most critically, it asks key questions about how you can preempt content experiences that don't even exist yet and how you can prepare yourself to be not only digitally fit — but also digitally forward-looking.
