Ron Myers

In his 20-plus years of experience Myers has brought his entrepreneurial approach to companies ranging in size from retail chains to individual proprietorships to Fortune 500 companies. In his role at AMD, Myers honed his international leadership abilities and developed the skills necessary to successfully manage cross-functional virtual teams. His can-do attitude is a force multiplier and allows him to maximize his impact.
As Corporate Vice President of Digital Marketing and Operations, Myers has had the opportunity to develop an organization that merged multiple functions into a singular unit delivering operational excellence and best-in-class capabilities. Ron’s leadership has developed the team into a true asset for AMD delivering on projects as varied as the Marketing Effectiveness Index to a completely redesigned AMD.com.
During his time with AMD, Myers has been recognized consistently in AMD’s Top Performer Programs and received multiple spotlight and achievement awards. He has also created, developed and implemented a large variety of processes and programs across organizations within AMD. These programs have focused on efficiency, collaboration and increasing business value for Marketing at AMD.
Myers has held a number of roles at AMD focusing on business development and operations roles. Myers has been able to consistently link the marketing function to strategic initiatives and business impact. The words most often used to describe his leadership style are collaborative, decisive and creative. He has also worked across AMD engaging with engineering, operations, sales and business units in multiple capacities. Previously, he served as an Infrastructure Business Development Manager where he engaged Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) and infrastructure partners working to establish joint business development plans. These plans included OEM engagements, joint technology roadmaps, implementation of joint marketing programs and identification of strategic opportunities.
Prior to AMD, Myers served as Chief Operating Officer and Co-Owner at Wallingford Computer Services for thirteen years. He guided business development strategy to structure the company as a premium service organization and custom white box integrator. Having joined Wallingford as the first salesperson of a small, two-person operation that had never exceeded $100k in annual revenue, Wallingford grew to become Austin’s third-largest computer company with a staff of more than 100 team members and annual revenue in excess of $10 million.
Myers has a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership and Ethics and a Bachelor of Arts in Administrative Management and Marketing. He also sings in a classic soul band and is a frequent speaker at computer system builder events, webinars and universities discussing leadership, organizational best practices, process development and entrepreneurship.
